Jerry Morris was born in Aruba and at the age of 5 months he came to Holland with his older brother Renaldo. Jerry also has a younger brother and sister who both live in Holland, Davey and Nicolette. Jerry Morris started muay thai kickboxing under the supervision of Lucien Carbien at the age of 13 together with his brother Renaldo . After winning his first 3 amateur fights (C. class) with great ease he jumped tot the semi amateur level. (B. class) In this class/level he fought 6 fights of which he lost 1 fight very closely on points. In 1991 he made the big jump to the professional level (A) with only 9 fights to his credit. His opponent was the current World champion kickboxing. To everybody’s surprise Jerry knocked him out in the second round. His opponent was able to get up for the 10 count but the referee thought it unsafe for him to continue the fight. This was the beginning of his impressive muay thai career.
